Welancora Gallery is delighted to present work highlighting the intergenerational nature of the gallery’s programming in the galleries section at Frieze Los Angeles 2026 (Booth D12). Featured artists include: Carl E. Hazlewood, Na’ye Perez, Grace Lynne Haynes, Debra Cartwright, Antonio Carreño, King David, and Ryan Cosbert. The VIP preview will take place on February 26, 2026 at the Santa Monica Airport. The fair opens to the public on February 27th. This is the gallery’s fourth consecutive year of participation in the fair.
The presentation leans heavily toward the gallery’s focus on abstraction, anchored by Carl E. Hazlewood’s large-scale multimedia wall-works. Across disciplines and generations, artists layer waterscapes, family stories, historical accounts and personal reflections, creating a textured exploration of migration, selfhood, and the intersections of violence and resilience in diasporic Caribbean and African American experiences.
